MORAD — short for Ministry of RAD — was built from the sky down with one goal:

Create a drone fishing system that actually works in real conditions.

What started as frustration quickly turned into obsession. Losing gear, rigs drifting out of position, constant tangles — especially around other drone and torpedo systems — and even losing hundreds of meters of braid… it all adds up.

And then the next lesson hit.

After losing a drone to the sea, it became clear the existing release clips were expensive, over-complicated, and not built for real-world use.

Around the same time, the cost of losing “risers” was adding up — at around $20 a hit, it didn’t take long before it made sense to look for a cheaper way to replace them.

A cheap, second-hand 3D printer, turned out to be the turning point — the thing that quietly unlocked the MORAD sea monster. What started as a way to print cheaper “risers” quickly turned into something else.

Once the testing started, it became obvious the existing products weren’t sufficient. They lacked the information needed to set them up properly, and more importantly — they only solved part of the problem.

That’s when the focus shifted.

It wasn’t about a single component anymore — it was about the whole system.
How it holds, how it behaves in current, how it comes home.

From there it became about figuring out what actually makes a drone fishing system work — what components matter, where they sit, what order they run in, what line lengths are right, and how much weight is needed.

That’s what became the MORAD system.
